Pres of NY Library blows .19 in city owned Audi A4

The president of the NY Public Library, Dr Anthony Marx, age 52, was arrested for drunk driving at 4:45 in the afternoon this past Sunday. Dr. Anthony Marx was driving a 2009 Audi A4, a city owned vehicle registered to the New York Public Library. A Witness spotted Marx hitting a parked car while driving in reverse on East 138th Street, in between Madison and Fifth avenues.

After he was arrested, Marx was taken to the 28th Precint stationhouse, where he blew a .19%, nearly 2.5 times the legal limit of .08%. He was charged with aggravated DWI and released without bail. His arrest came a six days after the library completed an amnesty program forgiving all fines/penalties on overdue materials for cardholders under age 18.
Marx is an alumnus of the Bronx High School of Science and earned his doctorate in politics from Princeton. He is the former president of Amherst College in Massachusetts.
